A steep day hike or overnight route climbs from the Mount Cook Village area to a DOC mountain hut above the Mueller Glacier. Around 2,000 stairs lead to Sealy Tarns, then a scramble over boulders and scree reaches a ridge facing Aoraki/Mount Cook and Mount Sefton.
