The Best Football Stadiums in Spain
6 of the 100 stadiums in The World’s 100 Best Football Stadiums 2026 are in Spain. The highest placed is San Mamés in Bilbao, at number 6 in the world. Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid (number 33) and Benito Villamarín in Sevilla (number 59) follow.
Seville
Real Betis plays at the Benito Villamarín in the Heliópolis district, a stadium that holds over 60,000 spectators. On match days the crowd fills the stands with noise and colour, but the stadium is being rebuilt and parts are closed. Sevilla FC plays at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in the Nervión district, among avenues and apartment blocks. Its tour covers the trophy room, dressing rooms and pitch.
Madrid
Real Madrid plays at the Santiago Bernabéu, where a stadium tour, a museum and a pitch visit are available. A Starbucks outside looks onto the stadium. Atlético Madrid plays at the Metropolitano, which also hosts concerts, and the stadium and museum tour runs here too.
Bilbao and Barcelona
Athletic Club plays at San Mamés in central Bilbao. Match days bring loud crowds and close views of the pitch, and the guided tour covers the locker rooms, the benches and the club museum. FC Barcelona plays at Camp Nou, where the crowd fills the stands on match days. The museum and stadium visit are reached through a site still under construction.
