A prefectural botanical garden covering a mountainside on Mt. Godai in Kochi, built to commemorate botanist Dr. Tomitaro Makino. Name tags mark every plant, and buildings by architect Hiroshi Naito house a memorial museum, exhibition hall and tropical greenhouse.
