Sand and pebbles
The two Turkish beaches work very differently. İztuzu Beach at Dalyan is about 5 km of sand where loggerhead turtles nest, with shallow water and the reeds of the Dalyan delta behind it; visitors come by boat through the reeds or by a winding road to a paid car park. Konyaaltı Beach is a pebble beach close to Antalya's city centre with a promenade of cafés. Entry there is free, the water deepens quickly, and beach shoes help on the stones.
