The Best BBQ Smokehouses in the Middle East

Dubai

Four of the eight smokehouses are in Dubai. Big T BBQ Kitchen in Al Quoz's industrial area serves Texas-style barbecue from Friday to Sunday, cooking its brisket, pastrami and house sausage in a large Texas oak smoker. Daddy's Smoke House BBQ & Grill is run by owner Mostafa, a trained pitmaster, and brisket leads its menu. Chef's SmokeHouse and 77 Texas BBQ also serve smoked brisket, and 77 Texas BBQ adds beef cheek pastrami, the Dubai Taco and smashed burgers.

Brisket outside Dubai

Brisket Bar, a kosher smokehouse at a gas station on Route 4 south of Hadera, sells smoked brisket, asado, lamb and sandwiches by weight or in platters. Oak and Smoke in Kuwait City serves smoked brisket, ribs, burgers and sandwiches, with a menu centred on smoked meat. The Pit on a main street in Amman cooks its meats over wood, with brisket, burnt ends and short ribs.

Jeddah

Uncle Khalil's BBQ is a meat restaurant on King Abdulaziz Street in Jeddah, spread over two floors with parking. Diners sample meat dishes before ordering, and food is paid for at the counter and brought to the table.
