A day hike along the Cumbre Vieja ridge on La Palma, from Refugio del Pilar south to Los Canarios or the Fuencaliente lighthouse. After a climb through pine forest, the trail crosses craters, lava fields and volcanic ash, with views of Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro.
