The Verdon Gorge is a deep canyon of pale limestone cliffs, plunging about 700 metres to a turquoise river that runs narrow between walls. Visitors see it from rim viewpoints along the Route des Crêtes and Corniche Sublime, from trails, and by pedal boat, electric boat or kayak from Lake Sainte-Croix.
