This lakeside castle stands on an island in Schwerin, surrounded by water and landscaped gardens, and also houses the state parliament. Inside, a museum shows state rooms, the Throne Room and a view of the plenary hall, while the grounds hold gardens, grottoes, a courtyard and an orangery café.
